Convención Young Latino Leadership Groups

 

The Convención Young Latino Leadership Groups, administered in partnership with the "Called Club" of Baptist University of the Americas, are designed to "engage, activate and develop 10 emerging Young Latino leaders by providing a personal and professional leadership development experience that is is culturally-unique and relevant to their culture and calling.”

The Groups

A weekly gathering that focuses on personal leadership development, the two groups will form the initial pilot program are:

  • SHINE Here Women's Group: designed to meet the unique opportunities and challenges that young women face as they develop into the leader's God has envisioned. This group will be facilitated by Brenda Rincones.

  • YLL Men's Group: For the young man called to ministry, this is a group focused on personal leadership development. This group will be facilitated by Jesse Rincones & Fernando Hill II.

What You Get

  • Weekly Lunch: For 4 weeks this semester share some tortillas and a leadership development experience at the same time.

  • Leadership Resources: receive resources that will develop your personal leadership development arsenal.

  • Personal Focus: To provide personal and focused attention to your leadership development, the groups will be limited to 5 students each.

  • Leadership Coach: with decades of experience, our Group Facilitators are here to help guide your growth as the Servant Leader that God has called you to be. 

What You Commit to Do

  • Attend: the 4 weekly Leadership Lunches each week in April.

  • Utilize: each of the resources to grow your leadership self.

  • Engage: with your group and Leader.

  • Complete: a survey at the end of the 4 weeks.
