An Overview
The goal of this program is to engage, activate and immerse 15 emerging Latino leaders by providing a personal and professional leadership development experience that is is both culturally-unique and relevant to their Hispanic Baptist culture and calling.

LEADERSHIP LAUNCH
April 24-17, 2025 / San Antonio
You will come together with other young Latino and Latina leaders in a year-long cohort experience. The Leadership Connection begins with an intensive multi-day Leadership Launch Retreat. At this retreat the participants will develop a personal leadership plan and a project that engages a leadership issue in your organization or community. Participants will enjoy monthly interactive opportunities and online tracking of the progress of their personal plan and project.


YLL's at Convención
June 29 - July 1, 2025 / Dallas
Help shape a YLL Experience at the largest gathering of Hispanic Baptists in Texas! Come and “Connect with God, connect with others, and connect with your calling!”


LEADERSHIP Expansion
Oct. 1-5, 2025 / Washington dc
Washington DC will be the perfect backdrop for a leadership immersion experience that exposes YLL’s to various organizations and leaders that work on issues that impact their Hispanic community. The organizations intended to be a part of this effort include: the Baptist Joint Committee on Religious Liberty, Washington DC; Faith & Education Coalition; Bread for the World; National Immigration Forum; and others.


LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE
Monthly
Participants in the Leadership Initiative will be trained and certified by the Hispanic Leadership Academy in collaboration with the Center for Hispanic Leadership. CHL Academy Certification is an in-culture talent development program designed for the ongoing advancement of Hispanic professionals. Addressing the Hispanic leader’s challenge of “assimilation and authenticity,” the program teaches participants to leverage their innate skills along with their cultural values.
